The Great Yarmouth & Waveney PCT

The Great Yarmouth & Waveney Community Nutrition Team's work to combat severe health inequalities, including an 18 year difference in life expectancy across the PCT, involves the use of social marketing principles to identify potential clients (at home, at work and in other community locations) and then works in partnership with voluntary and private sector providers to deliver the knowledge and skills needed to improve nutrition and an innovative "not for profit" fruit and vegetable delivery service: the process demystifies, educates, teaches food preparation skills and provides access to the necessary raw materials.
